Gusto News Summer 2009
We do hope you are enjoying the sunnier weather and looking forward to a lovely Summer ahead.
New Opening Hours - we will be opening on Sundays from 21st June, serving an all day brunch menu and take away food for picnics in the park. The deli and caffe will be open from 10-4pm and we look forward to welcoming you. We will be running a brunch menu some lovely light lunch dishes, as well as our home-made cakes, pastries and delicious ice creams.
As well as Sundays, throughout July and August we will be staying open later in the evenings, until 8pm. We will be serving food and drinks until then and hopefully the weather will be on our side! So if you are looking for somewhere to have a glass of Prosecco, glass of wine or a beer, with a plate of antipasti - please give us a try.
Gusto in The Press We were delighted to have our ice cream in last week's Daily Telegraph and sales have rocketed this week despite the cooler weather. It is made by an Italian family in London for us, using the finest natural ingredients, with no artificial flavours, colours or hydrogenates. Surprisingly low in calories, the chocolate has only 6% fat compared to the average British real dairy ice cream at 25% fat content. The Independent also described it as: "The Gold Standard by which all other Italian ice creams should be judged" We are currently stocking the following flavours: clotted cream; hazelnut; marzipan cream; milk chocolate; pistachio; Amalfi lemon sorbet; frozen yoghurt with peach.
Picnics - if you need food for a picnic we would be delighted to help, and we are running the hire a hamper, rent a rug service again. We can make picnics up same day but if you require specific food from our website we ideally need a days notice.
Gusto ‘out and about'
If you have visited Burford recently you may have seen some of our products in ‘Detail Kitchens' in the High Street. We are thrilled to be selling our products from there.
You can also have Gusto brought to you at the Mondo Hair Salon in Montpellier. We are offering a full menu service which is delivered to you in your salon chair.
Gusto Delivers - if you are planning a party, however large or small, we would be very happy to arrange this for you - the food, the staff, the drinks, the venue, the music, the flowers, the photographer....even hopefully the sunshine! For further details of our catering services please get in touch.
Private Hire - Our caffe is available for private hire and is frequently booked for social occasions. Whether it is Sunday brunch, a business lunch or a dinner party with friends, do ask and we can check availability for you and discuss menus.

We are currently offering a 20% discount on cases of our wines, please call to order or pop in to the deli.
We are also offering a free tub of our delicious tomato pasta sauce if you purchase two bags of our Gusto own label pasta.
When purchasing two homemade meals and fresh pasta from our freezer we are happy to be offering a third item free.
Caffe Art
We are currently showcasing art from Burlington Contempory Art in the Courtyard. The latest exhibition is by Paul Kenton 'an old Classic in an Urban Style' These limited editions are a retro collection which celebrates the Mini, Volkswagen Beetle and the Camper. The Gallery Summer Sale starts mid July.
We are also showcasing stunning hand blown glassware from Obi and Moo. Both shops are located behind the deli in Montpellier Street and are well worth a visit.
