The Gusto team
The team at Gusto are here to serve you. We are keen to take you on a sensory tour of Italy and to answer all your questions about the products we supply. We love our food and wine and all of the tradition and culture that this represents and we will be pleased to help you discover the same enthusiasm in any way we can.
Rachel Cappuccini
If it’s the next big secret out of Italy, Rachel will know about it and by turn so will you! Rachel is passionate about all things Italian, having immersed herself in the tastes and the culture, during many trips – from cooking, the traditional family way to exploring the hidden reaches and seeking out the less well known high-end producers. Rachel brings an electrifying energy to Gusto. Prior to launching Gusto, Rachel spent many years working in marketing for the food & drink sector. During this time Rachel became thoroughly involved with The Consortium of Real Parma Ham Producers and The Sicilian Wine Institute. Along the way, Rachel helped to launch an Italian delicatessen in Holland Park, London and also owned and ran The Lamb Hotel in Burford.
Gavin Thomson
A natural ‘foody’ and ‘people person’, Gavin ensures the smooth running of Gusto on a daily basis. If there is a particular brand of Orecchiette that you just must have and that we don’t stock, then talk to Gavin. Having spent a career in restaurants and hotels Gavin knows all about customer service and will ensure that your experiences of Gusto will only leave you wanting more. Most recently Gavin was hotel manager at the Lamb Inn where he met Rachel and they formed a winning partnership. Although very much a Scot, Gavin has travelled the world extensively in search of the finest foods, and almost passed for a Gondolier on a recent business trip to Venice!
